This advert is animated and delivers a serious message but in a kid's cartoon. The advert acts like a power point and moves smoothly through transion feeding their audience information about mental illnesses. The font used is simple font such as Calibri and is plain white and stands out on the light blue background. Their audience is children due to the cartoon theme which applies through the short video, however, the cartooned themed message on mental health, could be a target audience ages 11 to ages 18+, I think this because the video simple and it is eye catching, so any age can take the information in from the video and remember it as it is simple, quick and shows cartoon pictures. This could be an uncomplicated way for children to understand the importance of bad mental health and good mental health. In the video it shows a story of a person that went through mental health, and other stories of other people experiencing other types of mental health, coming from themselves to give an impact on the audience. In this video they use semiotics – Barthes, as it uses denotation of what is really being shown to the audience and connotation which has a deeper meaning such as why did they use a simple font, cartoon video. This is because they want to capture the audience's attention in a straightforward way so they can associate themselves to the video, in something they enjoy like a cartoon. I think this video can be on all the social grades as everybody suffers from mental health, does not matter how bug or how small. This video inspired me to do an animation for children.

This is mainly made up of interviews, to show a personal experience from themselves from being in school to their adult hood. This shows how they experienced mental health during teenage years to what they experience now, and it explains the different levels of it and how it effects people in different ways. The subject is quite personal and heard to talk about that is why they are talking about it from their perspective so the audience can relate to other people, and in doing so they do not feel alone in it, everybody suffers from mental health but so many people experience different levels and different types of mental health, and the audience can learn how to improve their mental health from seeing how others deal with it. We can link Barthes semiotic connotation to the plain black background as it resembles that they are talking about a touching subject, and it can also show how they feel when suffering from mental health, alone and in a dark place. In this video, compared to the last video I looked at, this one has adults talking about their experience with mental health at school, so the target audience for this video is ranging from 12- to 18-year-olds. As they talk about how to cope with it in school. The social grade I think will be all the social grades as everybody suffers with mental health, no matter how wealthy or poor or how old you are, everybody will suffer from some sort of mental health. This video has inspired me to interview people and ask about there stories on mental health.

This video talks about being positive and how to cope with mental health. The video mainly focuses on an adult who solves his mental health with the points the video makes. Unlike the other videos this focuses on the positive side of mental health and how to stay positive. All points the video makes comes up on screen in writing, so the audience takes it in. The video uses bright colours mainly blue which shows that they are trying to be positive even though it is a hard subject to talk about. Further through the video he shows different ways people help their wellbeing such as doing things you love such as watching films, doing sports etc. It also shows him inviting his friends over, so he isn't alone in his menta health. The target audience is ranging from 12- to 40-year-olds as they explain what it's like to have mental health as an adult and how to help it, but it can be from 12 years of age because it also shows what to do to resolve and help your wellbeing, so teenagers can be helped. It is aimed at teenagers and adults as it shows a day-to-day routine to help mental health just by doing something simple. This video can be linked to Barthes semiotics and denotation as it shows what is right Infront of you, so everybody understands at any age. I can link Genre theory - Steve Neale as he talks about a repetition of something such as this video, it has a repetition of positivity and how to help your wellbeing. The audience of this video will seek help and advice, this is a good theory to link to the video I have chosen. This video inspires me to talk about the positivity of mental health and not the bad side of it.
