Women between the ages of 16 and 24 are almost three times as likely (26%) to experience a common mental health issue as males of the same age (9%). Women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with anxiety as men. 25.7% of women and 9.7% of men aged 16-24 report having self-harmed at some point in their life. Women are nearly twice as likely to suffer from major depression than men. However, men and women are equally likely to develop bipolar disorder. While major depression can develop at any age, the average age at onset is the mid-20s. Furthermore, women are more likely to get and find help to help with their mental illnesses. Men are typically known to be stubborn and silent with their mental illness, as you see more men suicides than women and men typically don’t like talking about it compared to women due to the stereotypical saying “men are stronger than women” when this is a very false allegation. It is also known for woman to have anxiety more than depression and for men is known for men to experience depression more than anxiety.

Wentworth miller video of his past and mental illness, Wentworth miller is a well-known actor who stared in prison break he suffered from mental illness because he was hiding a secret which was, he was gay. Wentworth miller went through the whole series with mental illness issues due to his secret. For 4 years he travelled the world with the TV show and told nobody until the show was over, then told everybody he was gay, and everyone was surprised, as in the show he kissed girls and had his top off during the show. Getting messages from girls saying they would go out with him and sending sexual messages to him. I have learned from this that even actors have and share the same problems and mental illnesses as everybody else in the world, everybody and I mean everybody suffers from these horrible illnesses including our idols.
